A 63-year-old man is dead after being crushed by a tractor on a rural property in Omanawa.
Dennis Francis Keenan died after the tractor he was operating careered down a bank and rolled last night.
"A neighbour, the owner of the tractor, found the Dennis at about 8.30am after he became concerned the deceased had not returned the tractor," says Senior Sergeant Glenn Saunders.
The matter has been referred to the Coroner.
