Palmerston North Police can now release the name of the man, who was killed in a crash on Tennant Drive overnight (26-27 November, 2014).

He was Luke Carl Keenan, aged 25, from Palmerston North.

Officers are continuing to speak to the 23-year-old male driver to establish the sequence of events that led to the crash.

Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Sheridan, officer in charge of the Manawatü CIB says: "A scene examination has been completed but we are still very much in an information gathering phase.

Until we have completed a thorough investigation, it is too early to comment on potential charges."

The death has now been referred to the Coroner.
