A Mount Maunganui beauty spa team is blushing this month after taking a top national title and award in New Zealand's beauty industry.

Sanctum Beauty Therapy and Spa has won the Premier La Clinica Salon award and been named Overall Supreme Winner at this month's Beauty Sense biennial conference and awards in Christchurch.

Sanctum Beauty Therapy owners Lisa and Dan Shea are rapt with the win.

'This is huge for us and our team as well, as we've been selected from salons through the country,” says Dan.

Beauty Sense hold a conference and Awards Gala, engaging quality speakers to educate and motivate at all levels, finishing off with an entertaining awards dinner which is full of fine wine food and glamour.

Dan says Lisa went to the conference and came back with a national title.

'The awards are based on the overall quality of every salon the La Clinica skincare brand supplies products to,” says Dan.

'It's a fantastic effort by all of our team at Sanctum. We always strive to put the client before anything else; and the award shows this.”

Dan says Sanctum Beauty Therapy and Spa has a beautiful new salon on Victoria Rd, and Lisa has taken the business to another level since it started more than 14 years ago.

'It's all Lisa's hard work with the help of two fantastic managers.”
