Coromandel MP Scott Simpson is encouraging small businesses around the region to have a crack at winning $65,000 worth of prizes.

Scott Simpson MP says The ANZ Flying Start Business Plan Competition is a fantastic opportunity for small businesses to get a financial boost, or to get a great idea off the ground.

Coromandel Peninsula businesses are being encouraged to enter the ANZ Flying Start Business Plan Competition to get their ideas off the ground.

Scott says all businesses need a good solid plan and anyone wanting to enter the competition just needs to submit theirs.

'We have many innovative businesses in the Coromandel and I want to see them grow.

'Growing businesses mean more jobs. More jobs mean sustainable communities. And that's good for our entire region.”

Applicants need to demonstrate their idea is innovative, viable and geared for growth.
