Lookout for lost Lulu

Tauranga Police are asking for help to locate a missing miniature poodle last seen on Sunday afternoon.

The microchipped poodle did a runner from her home in Valley Road in Mount Maunganui at the weekend.

Lulu has been missing since Sunday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Turner say enquiries have confirmed Lulu was spotted outside Café 88 on Maunganui Road around 11am on Monday, but has not been seen since.

'Unfortunately she had just had a bath and did not have her collar on.”

The dog belongs to Tauranga woman Leona Smith who works with Tauranga Police on the annual CIB Charity Trust, which raises more than $200,000 annually for charity.

'Leona does some amazing community work including hundreds of unpaid hours assisting with the administration of the CIB Charity Lunch.”

Greg is asking anyone with information about Lulu's whereabouts to contact him on 07 577 4384.
