What's on today?

The Tauranga city centre is coming alive with jazz, blues and funk today with the Downtown Carnival. Immerse yourself in the vibrant sounds of New Zealand’s finest musicians, performing live on multiple stages and in top-notch bars and restaurants in the Strand, Wharf Street, Edgewater Fan and Red Square.

Savour delectable cuisine and refreshments, while soaking up the festive carnival atmosphere.

Step inside one of the bars or restaurants and let the live music wash over you. Or maybe you would like to picnic with the family on the water’s edge while listening to smooth live tunes.

Head to Te Puke for the Epic Egg-Stravaganza - Easter Sculpture Trail & Fair which will run from 9am-1pm in Jubilee Park, Te Puke. You can bike, walk, run or hop your way down Te Puke Te Ara Kahikatea Pathway trail – a 4km loop track – as you admire Easter Sustainable Art Sculptures and complete a bingo card to go in the draw to win prizes on the day!
 
There are some fun Easter-themed markets happening today, with the Greerton Hall Easter Market from 8am - 12pm, and the Waihi Beach Easter Extravaganza Pop Up Market from 10am - 2pm.
 
 
The Woolworths Food Truck will be at Mount Maunganui Main Beach from 10am - 3pm, serving up delicious hot cross buns with a cool twist, with all proceeds going to Kids Can. Mix and match your hot cross bun from a range of toppings or try the chef's specials.
