The woman who died when she and three other people were swept down the Waikato River on Monday has been named.
Rachael Louise De Jong was swept down the Waikato River, near Aratiatia Dam/Aratiatia Rapids, north of Taupo, early Monday morning.
'The death of Ms De Jong has been reported to the Coroner and police offer their sympathies to her friends and family,” says a statement from police.
