Lotto players $14,387 richer

Two lucky Bay of Plenty lotto players are walking around with a spring in their step after pocketing a cool $14,387 in Saturday night's draw.

They are among 24 Lotto players from around the country in celebration mode after each winning a share in Lotto Second Division.

The Bay of Plenty tickets were sold in Tauranga at Chadwick Stationery Gifts & Lotto, and in Whakatane at Halfway Store.

Chadwick Stationery Gifts & Lotto owner Girish Patel says the winner is yet to claim their share of the prize, but he notes his store as good one to get a winning ticket from.

'We sell quite a few winning tickets. We sold a first division one back in 2009, and we sold another second division winner a couple weeks ago.”

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of these winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at MyLotto.co.nz or through Lotto NZ's ticket-checker smartphone app.

Powerball First Division was not struck and has rolled over to Wednesday night where the jackpot will be $22 million.
