Lets see if the returned and new members do anything about the diminishing hospital services. Now that the DHB have stopped Doctors ordering xray,s and the like Patients , who are not critical, have to wait three months to see a specialist before they can get a simple xray. Injuries just gets worse in that time and hinders your local GP from being able to help in diagnosing the cause of a problem. This action was taken by the DHB because , in their opinion, GP,s were ordering too many xray,s!This emasculates GP,s and causes real harm to their patients. No doubt this is more to do with the National Govt putting the screws on health spending to make the national books balance so they can look good for the next election. I am a National supporter, but not for much longer.
