Chase adopted after pursuit

A police pursuit had a happy ending for one K9 critter.

A puppy was found in the back of a vehicle following a pursuit earlier this week.

NZ Police posted on its Facebook page that Chase was left behind by her owners after the pursuit in Christchurch. 'This pup was left in a car that was abandoned after a pursuit in Christchurch. Sadly, its owners never came back to claim her,” reads the post.

'She was placed at the pound and after the requisite time passed two of our officers adopted her. She was named 'Chase' and is thriving as a much loved family dog.”

Chase looks like a beautiful dog, good on the police for taking her in.
