Alleged sexual assault near hospital

Police investigating the alleged sexual assault of a woman near Waikato Hospital are appealing for information.

The 31-year-old woman was assaulted at about 4:30am yesterday while walking through the carpark of St Stephens Church, on the corner of Mahoe and Ohaupo Roads.


Hamilton Police are investigating the alleged sexual assault of a woman near Waikato Hospital early on the morning of September 26th.

Detective Sergeant Terri Wilson says she was grabbed from behind by an unknown male who threatened her before sexually assaulting her.

"There is a possibility there were people in the area at the time of the incident who may have seen either the victim or the offender.

'We really want to hear from anyone who may have information to help us in our investigation.”

would be out walking at that time of morning especially in this day and age its almost getting to the point where checking your own letter box is unsafe let alone walking around on the streets, hope victim doing ok.
