A post mortem examination is expected to be completed today on a body found in a cardboard bale at a Hamilton recycling business.

The body was discovered yesterday morning at OJI Fibre Solutions and FullCircle Recycling premises on Frankton's Pukeko Road.

Police are continuing to investigate the death of a man in Hamilton.

Police say the man's body has yet to be identified and investigations as to how the body came to be in the bale of cardboard are continuing.

'Police are in the early stages of investigating the unexplained death, including establishing the man's identity and how he came to be in the bale,” says a statement released by police last night.

More information will be provided once the post mortem is completed today.
