More than 780 Papamoa residents were plunged into darkness thanks to an unexpected power cut yesterday.
Power supplier Powerco stated on their website power was lost from 3.11pm through until 6pm. The cut affected 786 Papamoa Beach residents.
The cause of the cut was being investigated the statement says. Powerco supplies electricity and gas to more than 430,000 homes, businesses and organisations across the North Island.
