The last three 2015/16 Player of the Month Awards, have recognised the outstanding performances of two Bay of Plenty Senior Men's players and a Bay of Plenty Development side batsman.

Bay of Plenty Cricket introduced the Cricket Player of the Month Award in 2006 to recognise excellence in Bay of Plenty Cricket during each month of the playing season.

Representative wicket keeper Tim Clarke, saw Bay of Plenty home to a comfortable victory, in a Fergus Hickey one-day encounter against Poverty Bay on the 17 January 2016.

Batting at three, Clarke launched himself at the opposition bowling and blasted 110 before being dismissed, to put his team in a rock solid position at 210/4.

It has been a big season for the Bay of Plenty keeper that has seen Clarke post his maiden century against Poverty Bay, which also brought up his one thousand runs for the Bay of Plenty first eleven.

The February Player of the Month prize will be presented to Bay of Plenty Development captain Stephan Crossan, who smashed a big century on the way to leading his team to victory against Counties Manukau, on Sunday 7 February 2016.

The Bay of Plenty second eleven skipper took control of his teams turn at bat, as he blasted 144 runs in an epic innings, which is amongst the highest all-time individual scores by a Bay of Plenty Development batsman.

The March Player of the Month winner, is Ben Musgrave who blasted the Bay of Plenty Senior Men's side to victory, when Bay of Plenty relieved Hawke's Bay of the Hawke Cup.

Entering the fourth innings of the Hawke Cup Direct Challenge, Bay of Plenty needed 205 runs to win the long-time NZ Cricket prize.

Bay of Plenty lost two cheap wickets, with the third wicket falling at the 55 run mark. Batting at four, Ben took Bay of Plenty to success with a commanding knock, before he was caught behind for 102. Musgrave was posting his maiden Bay of Plenty century, with his innings containing fifteen boundaries.
