Police are investigating the cause of a serious crash near Horohoro yesterday afternoon.
The incident involved a single car which crashed into a power pole on State Highway 30, near Horohoro just before 6pm yesterday afternoon.
A spokesman for the Northern Fire Communications Centre says the driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
It was reported the crash caused powerlines to hang low across the road.
Road diversions were set up while emergency services dealt with the incident.
