Missing French Canadian trampers

Southern Police are investigating two missing French Canadian tourists who were reported overdue by family members on July 25

The French speaking men are Louis-Vincent Lessard and Etienne Lemieux, both 23-years-old of Canada.

Enquiries to date have established the men booked and subsequently travelled on an Intercity Bus leaving from Queenstown on Tuesday the 7th of July travelling to Te Anau arriving about 9.45am.

Their intention at this time was to walk the Kepler Track in Fiordland National Park.

Police Search and Rescue Squad and the Queenstown Combined Investigation Unit staff are both involved.
