Tauranga musician Phil Rudd feels he has been given the 'cold shoulder” from his AC/DC bandmates, despite reaching out to re-join the iconic band.
Phil, 60, was replaced by Chis Slade on drums for their ‘Rock or Bust' world tour after he was charged with threatening to kill, possession of cannabis and possession of methamphetamine.
Phil Rudd feels he is being ignored by his AC/DC bandmates.
The charges were laid after a police raid on his Bureta home last year.
He pleaded guilty to the charges during a hearing in the Tauranga District Court on April 21. Read more here.
Rudd says his current bail conditions would allow him to re-join the band on the tour, but the band have ignored his pleas.
'They haven't called me,” Rudd told the Nine Network's A Current Affair.
'I wrote them a letter and I tried to get in touch with Angus but I have had no contact from anybody.
'I'm very disappointed, but that's life.”
In a statement to A Current Affair, Angus Young explains Rudd has changed from the bandmate they originally knew.
'Phil created his own situation,” he says.
'It's a hard thing to say about the guy. He's a great drummer, and he's done a lot of stuff for us.
'But he seems to have let himself go. He's not the Phil we've known from the past.”

Perhaps the band could have bought him a box of tissues as a kind gesture...

His bail conditions may allow him to travel (God knows why) but I doubt many countries would grant a visa given the seriousness of his offences? If self pity were a crime you could add that charge too.
Move on Rudd...

Just shows who your true friends are and its not the ACDC band members. Good on you for trying to get in contact look at it is their loss not yours. May you have learnt from the past and have a positive cop free future.t

The decent thing to do would be to tell Phill Rudd to his face. End of media circus.

ACDC is a business not a bunch of mates jamming. PHIL took his eye of the business and his business partners were let down by him. They understandably moved on.
Self destruct!

Don't let all this negativity get to you Phil. Clean up your act and prove them all wrong.
