At about 6.40am, police were advised of a two car crash on State Highway 22 near the intersection of Blackridge Road, Karaka.
One person is deceased and two people are critically injured.
All emergency services are at the scene. Traffic on State Highway 22 travelling in an easterly direction is being diverted onto Blackridge Road.
Traffic travelling in a westerly direction is being diverted onto Burtt Road via Great South Road.
