It's been a busy few days for the Taupo-based Greenlea Rescue helicopter with a number of call outs this week.

On Monday, the helicopter was called to Ruatahuna after a 66-year-old suffered a medical condition and was flown to Rotorua Hospital. The helicopter was later called to a drowning at Tokaanu.
On Tuesday, the helicopter was called to the top of Mt Ngauruhoe, where staff worked with the RARO rescue crew to pick up a person who had fallen and broken their ankle.
On Christmas Eve, the helicopter was called to transport an 81-year-old man to Rotorua Hospital after he fell in Hatepe village on the shores of Lake Taupo.
