Police say there will be no further search in the Grey River today for the man swept away yesterday.

A thorough search yesterday found no sign of the man.

A search will resume when the river level has dropped.

Today Police are interviewing witnesses to the accident.

A search in the Grey River this afternoon for a man swept away earlier in the day has failed to find any trace of the missing man.

Search teams are now coming out of the area and the situation will be reassessed in the morning.

Police are yet to interview the people travelling with the missing man to establish the exactly how the incident occurred.

Conditions for searchers have been difficult, with challenging terrain, rain and a flooder river.

Police will evaluate further search options in the morning.
