Horan awaits results at home

Brendon Horan is awaiting the night's election results with friends and family in the comfort of his own home in Mount Maunganui.

The New Zealand Independant Coalition founder, and Bay of Plenty candidate, is remaining optimistic about his chances tonight but is also already looking forward to 2017.

Brendon Horan with children Leilani, 8, and Kiahi, 12, are watching the results on TV at home.

"Our party just going to get bigger and better, and by 2017 we will have 60 candidates."

Brendon says this year has been one of the craziest he has ever experienced.

Current polling results list Brendon with 378 votes.

Stop wasting tax payers money and get yourself a real job. Isn't it a coincidence how you formed a party, knowing you were going to lose, yet you will get another 3 months of tax payers money

That's one less parasite off the taxpayers back. You can now continue doing nothing Brendan.
