A woman and two children were reported to be in the car at the time of the crash but there were no reports of injuries.

A witness says emergency services were called to the scene and the occupants of the vehicle were taken to hospital as a precaution.

'The road was closed between Pemberton Park and the Chadwick Road roundabout as the power company repaired the line.

'Some of the houses in the area were without power for a couple of hours.”

Ash Rawson was one of the first people at the scene.

"The occupants of the car were shaken but miraculously okay. Power lines were everywhere."

Police say they are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Our power didn't come back on until 2:30am. And on a well-lit, straight piece of road....weird.
