Emergency services rescued a Tauranga Boys' College student today after he got into difficulties in the Tauranga Harbour mudflats.
Fire crews from Tauranga and Greerton attended the incident along with Police and the St John Ambulance Service.

Firefighters helped the boy from the boggy mud between Fraser Street and Turrett Road and returned him safely to shore at about 5.45pm.
The incident drew curious bystanders as the drama unfolded.
It's believed the student may have been taking a short cut home.
After police interviewed the boy he continued on his journey.

I guess his mum is going to have a few quesitons and a bit of washing to do after this little wander into the coastal rushes, must have been trying to sneek home via the back door. Would have been less of a sticky situation if he had of been in the MAN-Groves ...

Oh termite do you know this boy and his after school activities? hahahaha! Hey he might not even live with his mother..gesh some people. Think you might have wanted to be a secret squirrell or sumthing hahaha!
