Just an idea for Tauranga City Council to consider for Cameron Rd.
Do the essential underground works, but wait for the demand of hundreds of pedestrians and cyclists in the coming 20-50 years to alter the whole street to accommodate them.
Two benefits of this idea would be (a) the cost is spread over decades – if actually needed – and (b) the work would take far less time, meaning less frustration and businesses going broke.
