Police have released the name of a woman who died following a crash near Whakarewarewa on Thursday.
She was 40-year-old Galatea resident Aleshia Lois McGrath.
Police extend their sympathies to her family and friends.
The crash at the intersection of SH5 and SH30 occurred at around 6pm on Thursday October 19, and involved two vehicles.
The victim died at the scene, while driver of the other vehicle suffered moderate injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit investigation into the crash is ongoing.
