State Highway 1 near Tirau is now clear after a fatal a crash from overnight.
The two car crash happened at about 6.15pm in South Waikato, between Horahora Road and Paparamu Road and blocked both lanes.
Police have confirmed that one person is dead and two people were taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The Serious Crash Unit continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
More information will be released when it becomes available.
