Two prominent Tauranga women will square off tonight for the Labour Party Tauranga electorate nomination.
They're the principal of Merivale Primary School, Jan Tinetti, and the manager of Tauranga Women's Refuge Angela Warren-Clark.
The two contenders have already been through a question and answer session. And tonight they'll talk to the party membership, who will vote for their preferred candidate.
That vote will then be considered by a panel including Labour Party president Nigel Harworth and party general secretary Andrew Kirton.
The candidate to battle cabinet minister Simon Bridges for the Tauranga electorate in the September 23 general election will be named later this evening.
Jan Tinetti is a high profile principal in a low decile school and often speaks out about the difficulties faced by the community in which she works, while Angela Warren-Clarke is equally well-known for her promotion of the well-being of women.

Now you have confirmed your "political " bias, I imagine you will give up your current position?..as it would be surely unethical to continue in your current role without "undue " bias wouldn't it?...;or, will you do as most seem to?..we respect your view, but after showing your "hand" as it is...NOT in your position.........
