Wind blows through Blake Park

Upended shelters, flattened fencing and torn tarpaulins greeted early visitors to Blake Park today, after a 2am wind gust tore through the set-up for the postponed Christmas in the Park.

Daylight revealed a bit of a tidy-up was required to have the venue ready for the crowds expected this afternoon.

Tauranga's Christmas in the Park was postponed from Saturday because of weather, and is due to run today from 1pm to 8pm.

The programme includes live music from Anika Moa, Hollie Smith, Jordan Luck Band and Georgia Lines. Or you can wander round the The Little Big Markets, grab a bite to eat from one of the many street food vendors at The Street Food Union.
