Morning Sunners, today the fat man in the red suit makes a pre-Christmas daylight appearance with a lead role at the Papamoa Santa Parade in Dickson Road from noon.
The parade winds up at the Papamoa Plaza about an hour later, but the fun continues. Wave at the amazing floats, be wowed by the drumers, dancers, entertainers. Get a high five from Frosty the Snow man and his pal the Grinch before lining up to see Santa. Free facepainting, pony rides and bouncy castles – and the awesome Litte Big Markets.
And later the StarJam End of Year Concert is on today at Tauranga Boys' College, starting at 2.30pm in the Graham Young Theatre.
One in five New Zealanders is living with a disability, meaning about 150,000 young people with disabilities are facing considerable barriers in their lives.
Through music and performance workshops, StarJam reaches many of these young Kiwis & provides opportunities for them to explore their talents, gain new skills and build confidence to try new things. Over the years, StarJam's impact on Jammers (our young people) and their families has been phenomenal – inspiring self-belief and a sense of belonging, often for the very first time, resulting in a new zest for life and hope for the future.
