Mosaic church pastor Joel Milgate they've a bit of everything is on offer today and the best part is – it's 100 per cent free.
'This is the fifth Easter in the park we've run and it's the best one yet, it's been absolutely awesome so far and the weather is great, especially after the week we've just had,” says Joel.
'For the little ones there's an area for under five's where we've got face painting, rides and games, some great live music and lots of free food, like hot cross buns, sausages, fruits, plus coffee and hot chocolate. There's a little bit of something for everyone here today.
'Easter in the Park is 100 per cent free, so leave your wallet at home and come share a great day with your family and friends.”
About 300 volunteers, made up mostly most from the church as well as member's friends and family, are helping to run the event which has received support from local businesses and trusts, he says.
Now into it's fifth year, Joel explains that Easter in the Park is a fun way for the church to celebrate and share the story of Jesus and the meaning behind Easter with the local community.
'For us it's a time where we can reflect on generosity, on life and on the good inside everyone. We just want to bring all those things into the community as much as we can.”
