Morena SunLive readers! It's look like one humdinger of a day, with sunny skies, good temperatures and plenty of action taking place across the Bay today.
Like the Tauranga Parents Centre's third annual Walk the Lakes event which will see swashbuckling pirates and fanciful fairies taking over the The Lakes in Tauriko from 10am.

Tauranga Parents Centre president Karyn Grindlay says the event is expected to be popular with children, with bubble machines, face painting, Mr Whippy, and prizes all on the day's agenda.
With two walk options – either a 3.5km or a 5km walk – the event is suitable for even the smallest pirate or fairy, says Karyn.
'[The 3km is] very low key, casual, there's a nice little flat easy walk for people pushing buggies and little people toddling along.
'For the more athletic families, there's the nice little 5km which goes up the steep hill and then tootles down to the nice flat bit.”
The terrain is also suitable for prams and buggies.
A family or an individual can participate in Walk the Lakes for $10. Registrations on the day, start at 9.30am, and every registration goes in the draw to win prizes. The 5km walkers set off 10am, with the 3.5km walkers starting 10.15am.
Also taking place is the Marra Sprint Triathlon hosted by Triathlon Tauranga down at Pilot Bay in Mount Maunganui this morning.
The event caters for all athletes, from novices to the experienced, and attracts a number of local and visiting athletes each year.
Following last year's success of the short distance races for young people – the Marra Monsters (aged 12-16) and the Marra Minis (aged 6-11) – both races will be back this year.
The Marra Monsters Triathlon kicks off at 7.30am, followed by the Marra Minis Triathlon at 7.40pm.
While the signature Marra Sprint Triathlon, which features a 750m swim along the shore, a 20km cycle and a 5km run around the Mauao base track, with racing to get underway at 8.30am
