Aucklander Matt Franklin and Sam Warriner have taken out the Sovereign Tinman Tri Series at Mount Maunganui today.

About 2000 people watched the event run in perfect conditions and saw Matt win his first title at the Pilot Bay event finishing in a time of 1h 43m 28s in the men's division, while Sam 44 won her sixth Mount title in a time of 1h 51m 15s.
