An 11-year-old boy is in a stable condition after falling ill at Whakapapa ski field yesterday.
The Rotorua based Bay Trust Rescue helicopter were called to Whakapapa ski field at 2.30pm when reports of a child had become ill whilst skiing.
A Bay Trust Rescue spokesperson says the crew was used because of the 'critical nature” of his conditions. The child is in a stable condition in Rotorua Hospital.
