Armed police have been spotted raiding properties in Whakamarama and Poike this morning.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says 10 police cars were seen up Whakamarama Road.
Armed police are conducting search warrants in Tauranga this morning.
Another caller says police were raiding a property near the corner of Poike Road and Hollister Lane.
Police have confirmed that they are executing search warrants in the area.
