UPDATED 11.12AM: Firefighters are battling a large blaze at an industrial buidling on Glasgow Street.

The fire is reported to be under control. Cordons remain in place as firefighters continue to fight the fire.

Emergency services are dealing with a large building fire in Glasgow Street.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says the buidling near Tyre Master is completely engulfed in flames.

Another caller says the area is just saturated with black smoke and the flames look like they are getting bigger.

Strong winds are blowing the smoke towards Cameron Road.

Police are cordoning off the street and surrounding businesses are being evacuated.

People are being advised to steer clear of the area for now.
