An earthquake north of White Island has left the active volcano unaffected.
GeoNet recorded a 4.3 magnitude quake 80km north of the island.
There is no change in White Island's volcanic status.
The quake hit about 1.30pm and was 15km deep.
White Island's aviation colour code remains green and alert level is still at one.
