A rubbish truck has caught fire on Takitimu Drive.
The truck is on the westbound side of Takitimu Drive between Elizabeth St and Takitimu Drive Off Ramp.
Tauranga Transport Operations Centre report that Fire Emergency NZ has requested Police assistance for traffic management.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution passing the scene as the left lane has been reduced.
"Expect delay. Consider using alternate routes," says a Tauranga Transport Operations Centre spokesperson.

Guess someone put their fire ashes in the rubbish . Dumb as and obviously can't read . Will be expensive too
