This week we sampled some of the petrol stations in the Mount, and found price differences of more than 20 cents per litre.
It seems fuelling up on Maunganui Road can't compare with driving a few extra metres to Hewletts, which many readers have noted have the best prices in the city.
Gull Hewletts Road came out on top this week, with unleaded almost 25 cents a litre cheaper than the highest priced stations, and a whopping 30 cents per litre cheaper on diesel than Z Maunganui Road.
Check out the prices below, and if you've seen it cheaper, let us know in the comments, or over on our Facebook page.

Why do not any of the Petrol Stations show the 96 Octane fuel on which many newer smaller engines now need to have, to get the best efficiency ?
It gets better

At Gull once a month they have 10c a litre off for a day and a half,if you spend $40 you also get a couple of vouchers for 10% discount for the next 80 bucks you spend during the next month...that's as good as 16 or 17c a litre discount on your next couple of gas stops. This month Gull gave 20c a litre and still gave customers the vouchers.... Hooray for Gull keeping what's left of the "seven sisters" in line.. They are the only other players in NZ...unfortunately.
