Documentary maker Bryan Bruce says the airing of The Investigator on television has brought new information to light about the murder of Luana Williams.
Luana disappeared from her Tauranga home 25 years ago and her body was never found.
Documentary maker Bryan Bruce is investigating the murder of Luana Williams, also pictured here.
Bryan is investigating the case and used The Investigator to show his findings, with its airing last month resulting in much feedback from the public.
'After the Luana episode aired, we took over 20 phone calls and just as many emails,” says Bryan.
'We are slowly working our way through them all and following up on the information people have provided.”
As part of his research into the mysterious disappearance, Bryan made an enquiry under the Official Information Act for the release of Luana's drug files.
She was convicted for selling cannabis in 1983 as part of a police operation code named ‘Kiwifruit'.
Bryan was keen to asses whether her murder could've been drug related.
'We have received some very valuable information, which we are unable to discuss at the moment, but we feel sure there will be some developments in the future.”
Bryan says it's never too late for any information to be shared and if anyone if wants to give him a call, they can find out how to contact him through the TVNZ website.
