Concerns grow for missing man

Police are continuing to search for a man who has not been heard from in more than a month.

Detective Inspector Ross Mckay says rumours of Horowhenua man Palmiro MacDonald, 36, being found are incorrect.

The Nomad Motorcycle Club member was last seen on March 23, around the same time a bach he was staying at Hokio Beach was destroyed by a suspicious fire.

'We are still very much looking for Mr MacDonald and have serious concerns about his wellbeing, as do his family, given that it has been more than a month since he was last seen.”

The last reported sighting of Mr MacDonald was on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 23, when he was seen travelling as a passenger in a Silver 2004-2005 Holden Commodore with a distinctive boot spoiler and silver custom mag wheels.

Ross says police are following a number of lines of inquiry and are keeping an open mind.

Police have also executed a number of search warrants in the Horowhenua area and are examining some items of interest that have been located.

'The exact circumstances of Mr MacDonald's disappearance are still unclear, but it's out of character.”

His family have also set up a Facebook page titled ‘Find Palza'.

'If anyone has any information about Mr MacDonald, including any sightings of him in this silver vehicle, or information about the vehicle itself, then we'd like to hear from them.”
