UPDATE: Two people received minor injuries in a crash that caused traffic delays in Tauranga earlier today.

Police confirm three individuals were involved in a two-vehicle crash on Eleventh Avenue earlier today.

'Police were notified at 11:45am,” says a police spokesperson.

'Two of the three individuals involved in the crash received minor injuries.”

The eastbound lane on Eleventh Ave was previously blocked, however, a member of the public has informed SunLive it is now open.

EARLIER: A crash at the intersection of Eleventh Ave and Edgecumbe Road is causing traffic delays in the area.

The crash appears to involve two vehicles.

Tauranga City Council are advising that the Cameron Road-bound lane is partially blocked.

"Traffic is backing up on Waihi Road and the Takitimu Offramp," says the spokesperson.
