The new Farmers development currently being built in the Tauranga CBD is slowly starting to take place.

Taking to Facebook to show progress, the Farmers Tauranga Development page took a look into the future.

In the pictures shown, it says 'this is the current view from the corner of Elizabeth Street and Devonport Road as construction takes place,” says the post.

'In 2021, the view from this corner will include two 12 storey high-end apartment towers and two levels of architecturally designed retail and dining.”

At the end of June, a 60 metre high crane was installed on the development site.

According to the development website, it's the first of two new cranes the construction team will be using in a critical new stage of building activity.
