Good morning SunLive readers and welcome back to Saturday!

It feels like the first time in a long time that we are expecting fine weather up our sleeves! Long fine spells are expected today, with your high reaching 16°c and that looks as though it's carrying on into the next day. So it's the perfect time to get busy out in the sunshine and make the most of it.

To start your day right, there's a mass mediation event at Mount Drury.

The event has returned for another year, following it's massive popularity last year and this year the stakes have raised.

Organisers of the event are hoping they can get some practice in, so that next year they can achieve achieve a Guiness World Record for the most amount of people meditating at one place.

As well as that the hope is to bring people together in unity to help combat things such as domestic violence, suicide, and improve overall mental wellbeing.

Basically - you may as well just head along to see what they mean, for yourselves.

The event kicks off at 11am at Mount Drury, so take yourself and get ready to meditate.

Another event which hopes to give people throughout Tauranga, specifically youth, a wee bit more clarity is the Tauranga Careers Expo.

Canvas Tauranga Careers Expo is on from 9am - 3pm at ASB arena.

Organised by Priority One and the Rotary Club of Tauranga this year's expo will include more than 60 high growth local industry sector exhibitors, universities and tertiary institutes from across New Zealand, the trades sector, a Freight Logistics Showcase and a Film Industry Workshop.

Organiser Sue Boyne says it's the perfect place for students, especially, to get a real sense of direction.

Also featuring at this year's expo is the free Film Industry Career Pathway workshop runs from 10am till 12 noon today, also at ASB Arena.

So if you're a youth or a parent of one alike, make sure you head on down there and see what's on offer.
