Several residents in Matapihi were without power last night after a car crash.
Powerco network operations manager Phil Marsh says the power cut occurred at 10.47pm when a vehicle struck a power pole.
Supply was restored to the 270 affected customers by around 7am this morning.

was that another pole that jumped out onto the road
