Good morning Sunners. Today is not looking the best weather-wise with rain forecast for this afternoon, but there is still plenty to do in and around Tauranga.

Andrew Roy and Felix Cook say there is a friendly competition between Papamoa, Omanu and the Mount lifeguard services.

The two were out in the beach buggy at 6.45am setting up for the day.

There are also two cruise ships in today - biggies- Ovation of the Sea and Maasdam.

Due in at 9.15 and 9.30am and leaving after 9 pm tonight. https://www.port-tauranga.co.nz/cargo-and-shipping/cruise-schedules/

What else on today for holiday makers - there's cricket tonight at the Bay Oval, mini-putt and mini-cars at Memorial Park, the Waterpark which would be perfect to do on a rainy day and it's just started raining now on Mount Main Beach.

Check out what else is happening over on our What's On page.
