A car has crashed into the shop of the Gull Petrol Station on Hewletts Road.
Western Bay of Plenty road policing manager Senior Sargeant Ian Campion confirmed that a vehicle has crashed into the petrol station shop.
"A vehicle appears to have driven through one of the windows or walls," says Ian.
"No one is reported to be injured in the crash."
Emergency services have been called.
This is the second time this year someone has driven into the shop's window.

This has happened here before, clearly not the driver. It must be something wrong with the window
Inattention

We never used to have bollards everywhere to protect people from cars. This is a sad indictment on society as it is, poor driving, inattention and being in a hurry. Throw in the odd medical misadventure that people blame far too often. Take responsibility.

Old people need to prove they can handle an automatic transmission car after filling up with petrol when they re-sit their driving test- once again, this wouldn't have happened with a manual transmission vehicle...
