Tech expo earns business $200k

One Tauranga business earned $200,000 worth of business as a result of Priority One's Technology for Smarter Business Expo at Baycourt on Tuesday.
The business was one of 21 exhibiting at the expo, but organisers believe other businesses will announce financial gains from it over the next few weeks.

Priority One projects manager Annie Hill says businesses found the technology expo valuable on Tuesday.

Priority One projects manager, Annie Hill, says the expo went really well.
"It's about buying local. It's about supporting our own region."
She says about 300 people from a range of businesses attended the expo and says it provides businesses with a major boost.
"It's really important because the technology at the expo is cutting edge and if businesses are not there, they are falling behind. Businesses need to be sophisticated with their IT."
Among the big attractions at the expo was the iPad, open source software and information about social media and how it works.
