What's on Today? Wreath making

Good morning Sunners,

The Anzac commemorations are continuing today, with paper wreath making workshops and exhibitions to remember 100 years since World War I.

Residents are invited to create something special in memory of the soldiers who lost their lives in battle by joining Emma Prill at her paper wreath workshops at Tauranga Art Gallery today.

Children, aged five to seven years old, can join Emma on Monday between 10am and 12pm and between 1pm and 3pm for eight to 14-year-olds. Sessions cost $15 per child, or $40 for adults. Bookings can be made at Tauranga Art Gallery or call 578 7933.

Classic Flyers Museum is also holding a free exhibition in the main hangar to honour our soldiers and their families affected by the Great War.

World War I: From Tauranga to the Trenches is at Classic Flyers from 9.30am to 4pm.
