Police are currently at the scene and a reporter says there is significant damage to the transformer.

It's understood the truck is no longer at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved.

Meanwhile, emergency services are at the scene of a single vehicle crash on Omanawa Road, 1km from the State Highway 29 intersection.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says the car rolled several times.

It's believed the female driver, who was on her way to work, is out of the vehicle and is not injured.

St John Paramedics have been called to the scene as a precaution to check the condition of the driver.
