Bushwhackers in WWE Hall of Fame

Kirstin Richards and Sharon Owen watched from Tauranga as their father Butch Miller was inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame along with his cousin Luke Williams.

The pair are more commonly known as the Bushwhackers – a tag team from New Zealand that debuted in the WWE in 1989.

Both Luke and Butch have enjoyed a 36-year career as a tag team.

The pair were inducted into the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame as they took the stage doing their trademark arm-swinging Bushwhacker walk to an ovation at the SAP Centre in San Jose on Sunday (NZT).

After their induction, Luke, 67, said the honour was a long time coming, reports Stuff.

'But here we are at last, on the biggest stage in sports entertainment,” he declares.

'It was absolutely mind boggling,” added Butch. 'It's blown my mind which isn't much there anyway ... but it's blown what's left of it.”

Back in Tauranga, Butch's daughters Sharon and Kristin watched the Bushwhackers' induction with their husbands and children.

'He's gone through the ringer and had several lives, says Kirsten. 'He's had an amazing, amazing journey. So it was really emotional, watching him go up there.”

Luke, 70, thanked his two daughters for all their support as he chased his dream while missing birthdays and Christmases.
